I think I envisioned Badger with a much stronger skeletal, ligament/tendon structure. I mean we knew he had a lot of muscle but you’d think having a body that could take the blows would be needed to carry it.
I guess converting biomass into bone is less energy efficient? Since Badger ‘grows’ out of his host really rapidly, soft tissue cell division might be a lot easier.

Bone biomass is a lot harder to make rapidly, soft tissue is easy. Pretty on the nose 😀
